Dr Morni Hayati Jaafar Sidik is a lecturer with UniKL Business School. She was the Head of Department of the Accountancy Department, Faculty of Accountancy and Management at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Malaysia. She obtained her PhD (Accountancy) and Master of Science (Finance) from Universiti Putra Malaysia. She holds a Bachelor degree in accounting and finance from Manchester Metropolitan University. She is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). She started her career in the area of taxation with a medium-sized consultancy firm. She left the firm and joined the academia world since 1998. As an academia, her research interests are in the field of financial reporting, ethics, corporate social responsibility (CSR), e-commerce taxation and goods and services tax (GST). She has published a few papers both in journal articles, book chapters, newspaper and professional accountancy journal. She has also given several talks on GST to the general public.

Nik Khadijah Nik Abdul Rahman joined UniKL Business School in January 2012 as a Senior Lecturer. She has a broad spectrum of experience as practitioner in the industry in areas of finance, accounting, management and administration for 20 years. She started her career in academia in 2009 as a part-time lecturer at Universiti Utara Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur City Campus where she conducted Management Accounting, Financial Reporting and Statement Analysis and Advanced Management Accounting courses for Master programmes. Prior to joining UniKL, Nik Khadijah was a Senior Lecturer of Business School at City University College of Science and Technology where she taught Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Management and Business Management for Diploma, Bachelor and Master programmes. She is a Chartered Accountant (member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants), Certified Financial Planner and Islamic Financial Planner (member of Financial Planning Association of Malaysia), PSMB Certified Trainer and one of the committee members of the Joint Task Force between the Accounting Deans Council and MICPA. Professor Naziruddin has more than 25 years experience teaching economics, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels, at a couple of universities in Malaysia and overseas. He is the author of two books, and more than 30 scientific publications. He was engaged by the Institut Kefahaman Islam Malaysia (IKIM) and National Productivity Corporation to develop Muslim Ummah Development Index (MUDI) and to apply a new method to compute total factor productivity (TFP), respectively. Currently Professor Naziruddin is working on developing Zakat index for Zakat Institutions in Malaysia and Indonesia, and measuring poverty among micro-finance recipients in Bangladesh. From 2007-2009, he was appointed as Assistant Provost (COO) in charge of Administration and Financial Affairs at AL-HOSN University, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. And, at the University Kuala Lumpur Business School he is entrusted to spearhead the Department of Research and Post-graduate Studies.

Arman Hj Ahmad is a Coordinator and lecturer at Department of Marketing and International Business, Universiti Kuala Lumpur Business School. His specialization and Doctoral studies area is in pure marketing specifically in consumer psychology and behavioral marketing. Most of his publications are in the area of marketing and behavioral science specifically in consumer psychology, behavioral marketing, tourism marketing, digital marketing, entrepreneurial marketing and Islamic marketing. He is a member for various professional bodies such as Malaysian Institute of Management, Institute of Marketing Malaysia, Malaysian Association for Professional Speakers, Professional Association of Diving Instructors, Social Science & Humanities Research Association, National Geographic Society Malaysian Chapter, and World Wide Fund for Nature Malaysian Chapter as well as the Rejimen Askar Wataniah. He has 18 years of working experience including industrial experience in freight forwarding and transportation industries, book publication industries as well as food service industry and academic experience ranging from primary school until postgraduate level. As an active researcher, He has published many of his research works in highly reputable journals and publications. He has also presented papers at many marketing, behavioral science, management science, tourism marketing and entrepreneurship conferences locally and internationally. He teaches and supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Apart from teaching, he is also an active columnist in several travel magazines in Malaysia and his writings specifically discussed about nature protection, mountain climbing, travels as well as extreme sports activities. He gets himself involve in nature conservation and environmental protection activities by joining various programs organized by WWF, National Geographic Society as well as various NGOs which specifically aim to protect natures and wildlife.

Dr Zalina Zainudin is the Head of Section, Finance/ Islamic Finance. She has a broad spectrum experience in the industry. Prior to joining UNIKL Business School, she has over 10 years working experience at Permodalan Nasional Berhad(PNB), served in internal audit and finance department. During her career at PNB, she was given responsibility in handling the development and implementation of goals, policies and procedures relating to financial management, financial and management audit, budgeting, and accounting. She is a Certified Financial Planner and a certified member of Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM). Her research interest include financial management and corporate finance topics, such as debt cost-benefit analysis, determining optimal financing and financial planning.

Dr. Mansur Masih is currently Senior Professor, Finance/Islamic Finance at UniKL Business School, Malaysia. He obtained a Ph.D. (in ‘Applied Financial Econometrics’) from Leeds University preceded by a Masters in Economics from Manchester University. Prior to joining UniKL in October 2019, he was a Professor of Finance and Econometrics in INCEIF, Global University of Islamic Finance for 9 years and held the ‘Chair Professorship of Finance’ at the National University Malaysia and Northern University Malaysia, and also, King Fahd University, Saudi Arabia where he taught for 8 years. Before that, he also taught at the Australian (New South Wales and Edith Cowan) and British (Leeds) Universities for a total of 27 years. During all these years he taught courses in three disciplines: Finance, Economics, and Applied Econometrics/Statistics at all levels including the MBA and Executive MBA levels.
He used to give an IT-intensive hands-on research workshop regularly to the Business Faculty at the Australian, Saudi Arabian and Malaysian Universities on “Recent and ongoing advances in econometric methodology for applied research”. Mentoring the junior faculty and leading a collaborative research team consisting of the faculty and Graduate students are his major contributions.
He has held Visiting Appointments with the Universities of Pennsylvania, Oxford, Rhode Island, Australian National, and Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies, Thailand Development Research Institute, and Malaysian Institute of Economic Research. Also, funded by Special Competitive Annual Research Grants of the University of New South Wales, Australia (where he taught for long 22 years) he made a number of field trips almost annually for twenty years to most South-East Asian and South Asian countries, as well as Hong Kong, China, Korea, and Japan.
His research publications: 152 refereed “applied” papers published/accepted (of which 141 papers are in European/American international scholarly refereed journals). On the econometric testing of issues in finance/economics, during the last five years (2019-2015), he has had 66 papers published/accepted in mostly top-tier ISI/SSCI/Elsevier journals ( on top of 4 papers currently under revision and 27 working papers completed). A total of 117 published papers so far are in the top four publishers’ journals (including 83 ISI/SSCI Journals). A small recent sample: Physica A: Statistical mechanics and its applications, J. of international money and finance, J. of financial research, J. of economic behavior & organization, Emerging markets review, J. of international Fin. markets, institutions & money, J. of policy modeling, Economic modelling, Energy economics, J. of population economics. Some of these journals are ranked within the top ten finance journals in the world.
His national and international research rankings: REPEC country rank 1 (top authors by country, Malaysia) and REPEC Global rank 11 (top authors by field, South East Asia), Research Gate score (above 95% of global researchers’ scores) (with total current ‘Reads’ being 77,630 running at a rate of around 1000 ‘Reads’ every month). Based on Citations 6,957 (Googles) so far, his Global rank is number 1 on ‘Applied Financial Econometrics’, number 1 on ‘Islamic Banking and Finance’, and number 1 on ‘South East Asia’. His h-index is 38 and i10-index is 86 (Googles).
His conference papers, editorial board membership and Ph.D./Master supervision: presented 151 refereed papers at International conferences. He sits on the editorial/advisory board of 11 international refereed journals including 3 top-tier ISI/SSCI Journals such as, ‘subject editorship’ of Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, and International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management. Also, acts as an editorial referee to 24 international scholarly refereed journals. He supervised 18 Ph.D. theses and 4 Masters theses so far.

Dr. Sheikh Muhamad Hizam Bin Hj. Sheikh Khairuddin is a Senior Lecturer at the Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Business School. He has over 20 years of entrepreneurship, industrial and academic experiences. He was involved in the agribusiness; manufacturing; and air logistic sectors dealing with multinational clients with the likes of Intel, IBM, Motorola, etc. He has published his research papers in several high impact journals and conferences. He is also an external examiner to several universities and supervisor to MBA and PhD students.
